This week's speaker will be Dr. Eric Strauss from the UWL River Studies Center.
Dr. Strauss is a professor in the Department of Biology at UWL and the Director of the River Studies Center. He leads an undergraduate and graduate research program examining nutrient cycling and other ecosystem processes in stream and river systems. Prior to UWL, he spent several years as a biologist with the U.S. Geological Survey at the Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center in La Crosse.

Consider Giving Blood!
The Red Cross has called for more donors as the blood supply is critically low. With that in mind, what better avenue is there to "selfless service" than to give a part of ourselves with a blood donation?
Many opportunities to give are open at the Red Cross Office or drives throughout the region. Find your opportunity:
Our next week of delivering Mobile Meals starts February 19, and there are still opportunities for you to help us deliver hot meals to shut-ins and the needy. Openings are on Wednesday, Feb. 21, Friday, Feb. 23, and Saturday, Feb. 24.

The ultimate Rotary Western Great Lakes District Conference will take place in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from April 18th to 20th, 2024.
