OPEN WORLD - 2025 PROGRAM
Shari submitted our club's application for the 2025 Open World program to help Ukraine on the topic of Public Health Issues September 12-20, 2025. We expect to hear a decision by the end of August or early September. Click on the link below for and article, written by Shari, that was just published in Rotary International's "Service in Action" blog.
Logan High School just completed an upgrade to the south entrance of the school. The new entrance looks beautiful. Valley View Rotary donated one of the tables in the photos. The money raised for this project came from Moon Tunes Northside summer of 2023.
A Tuesday is just a Tuesday… unless it’s Taco Tuesday!
This basket contains all the extras to make tacos on Tuesday into a party. First grill up tortillas on a double flat grill (use the taco pot holder so you don’t burn yourself!) and keep them warm in the red tortilla holder. Use the cactus shaped taco holders to keep your tacos upright while adding on the layers of yumminess! There are Mexican style-serving plates, a bowl and a matching triple sauce server. The covered cactus guacamole holder will keep your guac fresh, plus paper taco plates and avocado napkins for simple party cleanup. Mix up your own specialized margaritas (just add tequila) in the party-friendly pitcher with cactus stir sticks and reuseable ice cubes, and serve in the cactus flower sipping glasses. Serve roasted bell peppers in… a pepper serving dish along with cactus serving picks. Style your taco your own way with different hot sauces and of course, keep your recipes healthy will avocado oil. And it wouldn’t be a party without a taco-shaped piñata, taco party lights, and a green and pink neon cactus light! ¡Olé!
Basket #2
You're One in a Melon!
What better way to celebrate summer than with the iconic summer staple…Watermelon! It’s all about the melon! Set your summer patio table with two different watermelon themed bowls, a tray, several small wedge-shaped plates, cutting board, and salt and pepper shakers (a shake of salt is sooo good on a fresh slice of watermelon!) Serve up beverages with patio-safe melon drinking glasses for either the watermelon wine, seltzers or sparkling juices. Chill them down with the reusable red wedge ice cubes and sip with reusable watermelon straws. Make your own freezer pops using the wedge popsicle molds and a watermelon cooler in the glass jug with tapper. There’s even a pair of watermelon oven mitts in case you want to try grilled watermelon. Chill out with the watermelon scented candle while wearing the watermelon flip flops and nibbling on some of the different watermelon sweet treats. Worried about getting all sticky? The watermelon napkins and tea towels can help, along with the Bath & Body watermelon hand wash and lotion. Add a touch of melon décor with a watermelon garden spike, watermelon margarita party lights and a hand-painted watermelon wedge sign. Remember…You’re One in a Melon!
