Greetings, Valley View Rotary family and friends!!!
Thank you to Gustaf for sharing about his life in Sweden with us last week. It is exciting to hear all the international sharing each week. Gaining insights into the cultures, ideas, values and beliefs practiced by those around the world allows us to better communicate and help each other to make a larger impact. I am so grateful to be part of this community with each and every one of you!!!
Please join us this week to hear from Grant Soper who will share about his journey on the Pacific Crest Trail.

Valley View's 50/50 Weekly Raffle - Part II
A recent guest asked the question, “how much would somebody win today”, meaning how much was in the pot? The answer was we didn’t know the exact amount, but that it’s over a couple hundred bucks.
However, (last week's explanation part II) it should be noted that if a non-member pulls the joker, they only win $10. The reason behind this is when the raffle originally started there wasn't the “draw the joker” part of the game. The winning ticket just got 50% of the week’s pot regardless if it was member or non-member.
When we added the “draw the joker” is when we changed it to 50% of the accumulated pot, but for members only. The “theory” behind the $10 limit that was placed on guests is that the pot is built by our members purchasing tickets every week, which guests really do not.
