Hello All,
This the week. Summer Picnic week, when Valley View Rotarians get together for fun, food, and fellowship at the home of member Tan Pham, proving that we are more than just serious worker bees and donors supporting our community and making it a fabulous place to live.
We also know how to kick back and have fun! So PLEASE don't go to the Y on Wednesday morning: sleep in and save yourself for some excellent food and entertainment at our annual summer picnic.
The location is Tan's home, 1309 Main Street, rain or shine. The time is 5:30 to 7:30 pm. If you haven't registered for the picnic but still want to come, stop reading right now and click on the link under "Upcoming Events" on the right-hand side of this newsletter.
Other Events
September Mobile Meals dates are right around the corner. Thank you to those of you who have already signed up!
Moon Tunes: You have three more opportunities, including this week, to join everyone at Riverside Park and help with Moon Tunes before the season ends. So far, just three people have signed up as volunteers, and--you guessed it, they are some of the usual suspects: Bruce Nuttal, Sarah Huber, and Shari Lafreddi. Let's show these devoted volunteers some love and join them this week. Especially if you can drive the trailer; it would be really good to have the trailer.
Snacks for Northside Elementary
In two weeks, on September 13, Jenna Anfang will be presenting at our club meeting. Jenna is the new Community School Coordinator at Northside Elementary School; in other words, she's their new Jule Nelson.
Jenna will update us on the goings-on and needs we can help with. Julie has confirmed that snacks for hungry kids (is there another kind?) are still a significant need. In case you need a reminder, here's where they can be sent:

Club Assembly
Thank you to all who participated--it was a great turnout! As soon as I get reports back from all committee leaders, I will compile a report to share with you all. I'm hoping to discuss this at our next regular club meeting.
