Instead of our normal "Member Highlight" we have something a bit different this week. Jeff Kirkman has sent in a video that he recently produced. He notes " WBSD was the foundation for my career and countless others. I was on the station from 1977-1980 and was named the 3rd Student General Manager of WBSD. In April, we celebrated 50 years and it is the last remaining high school radio station in Wisconsin. A year ago, I was asked by the Founder and my advisor Terry Havel if I would be interested in creating a documentary of the station. And here it is." Click on the link below - it's about 30 minutes long and I really enjoyed it. After watching the video I looked up the station on line and listened for a bit (And I'll bet Gary Brown knows all of the music being played throughout!) SRS
For the Valley View Rotary Club to be eligible for District matching funds we need our members to donate to the Annual Fund! This year our club needs to donate over $6000 - $100 per member. Please donate what you can...and soon as we are approaching the deadline for this fiscal year. The link to the Rotary donation page is below and note that you can have your donation made in monthly installments. You can also send Annual Fund donations to Dick Spencer.
