Teressa Roe, of the Badgerland Girls Scouts of Wisconsin
Greetings Fellow Rotarians,
It’s Sunday evening, and I am preparing this week’s newsletter as usual. I will hit “send” tomorrow morning because if I wait until April 1st, the Club Runner Widget Wizard will update the event and Birthday/Anniversary widgets to show April dates.
Thank you to everyone who has signed up for Mobile Meals deliveries. I also thank those who have volunteered with Brad Quarberg to help with a Blood Drive and everyone planning to plant flowers in containers in downtown La Crosse. Then, there’s iFeed, Riverfest fence take-down, Rotary Lights, Open World, Friendship Exchange, Youth Exchange, and Moon Tunes. Valley View Rotarians give hundreds of hours of volunteer time to a wide variety of causes, just as we financially support many different efforts to improve life in our communities. As you read this, you may think of the projects I have omitted, but I'm sure there are many! If you can’t find something you believe in to donate your time and/or treasure to as a Valley View Rotarian, you aren’t looking!
Besides offering opportunities like these, this newsletter also features fun opportunities while supporting other clubs’ fundraisers. Don’t forget to scroll to the bottom and check out the Holmen Rotary Club’s Gala and Service Auction. What a concept! Their president, Kelly Dunn, told me he would offer a day of sailing on Lake Onalaska and a dinner out. If you want to go, consider getting a table and going as a VVR group.
On April 3, Rotary After Hours will call BBBB Bingo at the Omni Center. More info on that is below.
Happy Spring, and don’t fall for any April Fool's tricks.

Community Service Opportunity
Take advantage of an opportunity to do community service while enjoying a social activity in Downtown La Crosse. On Saturday, April 27, Valley View Rotary will help Downtown Mainstreet, Inc. plant flowers in the planters along the sidewalks. Meet at The Main at 9:30 a.m., where Matt Mahlum will provide coffee to get us fired up. We’ll plant until noon and then convene at the Bodega for lunch.
Request from Northside Elementary
Northside Elementary has requested our help in purchasing playground supplies and classroom snacks. If you can contribute, you can either Venmo your donation to Dick Spencer or purchase the items yourself and bring them to Rotary for Julie Nelson to drop off. If you need ideas, here is a link to her Amazon list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2ZYKDVNEUZS25?ref_=wl_share
If you have any questions, ask Julie Nelson for more info.
