I joined Valley View Rotary in 2018 after being introduced as a guest by John Lyche and Mark Etrheim. I had been invited over the years to join other clubs and after visiting determined that they were not a good fit for me. Valley View Rotary felt like home from meeting one and I have never looked back.
What has been your best Rotary moment so far?
My biggest highlights have been participating in the two Rotary Friendship exchanges in Australia and New Zealand and then hosting during the return trips. It has also been fun to get to know our exchange students and to be a small part of their experience.
What is your favorite thing about Rotary?
I look forward to every Wednesday knowing I am going to get to spend time catching up with all of you and learn something new and interesting about our community. Our speakers program is extremely helpful in keeping me aware of important programs, people and initiatives.
What is a fun fact about you?
I am a self proclaimed expert on everything Grand Canyon National Park. Over my life time I have visited over 40 times. I solo hiked it end to end on my 40th birthday in 18 days and have hiked most of the 20 plus wilderness trails over the years. I have also Rafted it twice. I still visit every year.
If you are planning on attending Tri-Con in April, please let Scott know ASAP, thanks!
