Greetings, Valley View Rotarians! I hope you've all had a good week and that you all have air conditioning. We hit the movie theater today for the first time in a year, seeing the Anthony Bourdain documentary... it was impactful and inspiring and depressing, as promised. Recommend for fans.
This week's speaker is new member,
Andrew Sahlstrom! Looking forward to getting to know Andrew better.
Many thanks to Larry Peterson and Beth Armstrong for hosting the upcoming Club Summer Picnic at their home on Aug. 11 at 5:30 p.m.! For details and to RSVP, please see the email Larry sent to all members on July 23 or the link in the right column of this newsletter.
The Downtown Rotary sent out information on an Operation Pollination webinar being held this Wednesday over the noon hour. It will be conducted by Tina Hall and Chris Stein, Rotarians with expertise on how to select, proceed and succeed with “Operation Pollination” projects. This webinar is open to everyone and especially helpful for Rotarians. It is hosted by the Rotary Club of La Crosse and District 6250.
Mark your calendars: Our next Mobile Meals week is Sept. 20-26. Sign-up will be available closer to the date.
Reminder: New-Technology Monthly Duty: A/V duties are becoming a Club responsibility, just like the monthly Roto Rooter, greeter, etc. So far, Jeff Kerkman has been shouldering this responsibility alone, which doesn't meet the "fair to all concerned" sniff test. Several members have volunteered to rotate the duty. For training, please reach out to Jeff to coordinate a date in the near future. The thought is to meet at 6:50 a.m. on Club meeting morning and go through the process ahead of the meeting. Jeff's email is jeff@adfiniti.com.
Last, but not least, don't miss the Moon Tunes volunteer sign-up and Avenues of Service banquet news below. See you Wednesday, Clubbers!

Donating the number of years at your birthday to the Rotary Foundation for Polio has become a club tradition. Just log in to My Rotary and click on donate. The participation has been truly awesome and given the average age of our club, this is a significant amount of money!
