If you signed up for the club Christmas party at last week's meeting on the paper sheet sent around the room by Kate, then you are good and truly signed up and have nothing to worry about. (Except that the chicken you selected will actually be cod...)
If you did not put your name on that piece of paper, you can still sign up, but now you can do it online at signupgenius.com. It's easy and quick! Use this link:
You don't need to register or log in. Just scroll down below the event description and click the RSVP NOW button. I liked that after I responded that I was coming, it gave me the option of automatically adding the event to my calendar.
Don't forget to put your meal preference in the comment box: cod, pork, or vegetarian pasta.
Open World Update
In recognition of their efforts and of the work they do daily in support of crime prevention and rehabilitation of former prisoners, the Open World Committee is working on gathering $3,000 in donations to split among the 11 non-profits who partnered with us during the week the Georgian delegation was here. These organizations save lives, and they help all of us be safer. They generously gave their time to our project, and we want to show our appreciation by supporting their missions.
We are 1/3 of the way to that goal, so if anyone has not yet contributed but would like to, please see Dick or Jim to make your donation. Thank you!
No Meeting Next Week
We will not be meeting the week of Thanksgiving. Some of us will be traveling, and others will be in the kitchen making pies.
Club Assembly
The following week, on November 29, we will have a Club Assembly. Be prepared to meet with the committee you are most active on.
