Weeks ago, I was asked if we were meeting the week of Labor Day. I checked, saw that Rolan did not hold a meeting that week, and said no, we would follow his lead. 

Only much later did I realize that our picnic would be the week before, and we would be skipping a regular meeting for two weeks. 

This is not ideal, but at this point, it would be tough to change, and there is no presenter on the schedule. So, if you are celebrating by traveling or hosting family at your house, enjoy, and don't worry about missing a VVR meeting because you aren't!

 

Next week, September 13, we will be back on our regular schedule with a presentation by Jenna Anfang, the Community School Coordinator at Northside Elementary.

 

Our Mobile Meals week is September 18 through 24, and it's just around the corner. Only one day, Sunday the 24th, is fully staffed, so you have lots of choices.

 

This Thursday, September 7, is our final blow-out concert of the year. And the weather looks to be mild and inviting. There are plenty of slots left to fill on the signup sheet. Please check it out and commit! I know it's great to have many members magically show up and lend a hand, but a completely filled signup sheet is a big comfort to some of us.

 

Clubrunner is not always user-friendly, which is counterproductive when we want volunteers to sign up. I'm sure many of you don't need this, but here's a little tutorial on how to quickly get to the signup page. 

 

This is the toolbar on your main page after you log in. The word "Volunteers" is highlighted because I clicked on it.

 

When you click on "Volunteers," the secondary toolbar underneath changes, and if you look WAY over to the left of your screen, you will see the option to "View Signup Lists" is now available. Clicking on that will take you where you need to be.
