Open World Approaches

Autumnal Greetings, everyone: decorative gourd season is here!

It is also nearly Open World Week.

The Open World delegation arrives on October 13, which is just one week from Friday! Remember that Hello in Georgian is "Gamarjoba"!

Swag Bags
Shari and her team are putting together swag bags for the six delegates to give them souvenirs of their trip to La Crosse. They'd like things like logo pens/note pads/calendars/tote bags, T-shirts, etc. - the kinds of freebies a company might hand out at a conference, an expo, or to important visitors to their office. If you can donate some items from your company or organization, please bring 6 of each to one of the next two Club meetings or contact Shari, Brad, Sandy, or Paul. T-shirt sizes are men: one size XL; women: three Small, two Medium.

Social Opportunities with the Delegation
While club members are welcome to attend any of the programming planned for the week our guests are here, some special social activities are planned for us to get to know them. These are optional but will be our best opportunities to get to spend time with them. Look these over and put them on your calendars!
  • Saturday, October 14: We're taking the 1:30 p.m. sightseeing cruise on the La Crosse Queen. If you'd like to join us, please purchase your tickets online here: Mississippi River Sightseeing Cruise | La Crosse Queen Cruises
  • Wednesday, 10/18: Everyone is invited to join us on 10/18 around 6 p.m. for pizza at Big Al's if you'd like to share some social time with our delegates. We won't need to make a reservation, and no meals will be ordered in advance, so no signup is required, but you are welcome to join us!
  • Thursday, 10/19: We'll be having dinner at the Freighthouse in the Hiawatha room. Anyone is welcome to join (at your own expense). Please get in touch with Sandy if you plan to attend so we can let them know if we'll have more than 16 people.

iFeed
I have one quick reminder that the 8th annual iFeed will be held on Saturday, November 4th, from 8 a.m. to Noon at Logan High School. Soon, there will be a signup page on Clubrunner.
