Greetings, Valley View Rotary family and friends!!!
Thank you to everyone who attended last week's meeting at the Main and heard Mike Desmond talk about Mobile Meals. After the meeting, someone reminded me we have one more week of deliveries this spring, April 15th-21st. I have created that sign-up sheet in Club Runner, and the link is at the bottom of this newsletter. This is your chance to participate while we still feel inspired by Mike's stories! If this is your first time delivering Mobile Meals, be sure to sign up with someone who can mentor you. Once you've done it once or twice you'll realize there was nothing to be anxious about. On the contrary, it is always a mood boost to be the recipient of the gratitude and appreciation of the people we serve meals to.

Coulee Hoolie Ceili Fundraiser
Please join us in supporting the La Crosse-Bantry Friendship Association's annual fundraiser next weekend. This year the funds raised will benefit the La Crosse Dive Unit and Bantry Lifeboat (Bantry Inshore Search & Rescue Association). Valley View has submitted a grant application to the Rotary Works Foundation for $400 to be split between these two life-saving organizations. The Coulee Hooligans will provide great Irish music, instruction will be provided for Irish Ceili Dancing, Terry Visger will regale you with Irish stories, and Taste of Ireland will provide food. There will also be a Silent Auction and a raffle. Come join the fun!
WHAT: La Crosse-Bantry Friendship Association's annual fundraiser
WHEN: Saturday, March 23, from 6-10pm
WHERE: American Legion, 711 6th Street South, La Crosse
Take advantage of an opportunity to do community service while enjoying a social activity in Downtown La Crosse. On Saturday, April 27, Valley View Rotary will help Downtown Mainstreet, Inc. plant flowers in the planters along the sidewalks. Meet at The Main at 9:30 a.m., where Matt Mahlum will provide coffee to get us fired up. We’ll plant until noon and then convene at the Bodega for lunch.
