Merry Christmas to All! I am having a quiet pause between Christmas breakfast with family and dinner tonight, so I'm writing the next-to-last newsletter introduction for my friends in Valley View Rotary.
I hope you are all doing Christmas-y things with family. And that you are getting outdoors to enjoy 50-degree weather in late December. It's amazing, if weird, but I am just grateful to be here and experience another Christmas. I'm also grateful it's supposed to stay warm enough that we won't be getting ice tonight.
Thank you to Amy Bettis for agreeing to switch the BSA presentation to this week so Sierra Lyon could give her presentation on the Matagalpa Rain Harvesting Project last week. I hope that those of you who are in town will come and hear her on Wednesday.
Sarah Stinson will speak on behalf of the BSA Gateway Area Council.
Last week Humble Bumble joined the meeting as our special Christmas Rooter. He and Kate Dunnum dispensed lots of hugs and raised over $200 for the club. Thank you Kate and Terry Bauer: the tradition lives on!

Things got pretty busy at last week's club meeting, and we neglected to perform an important duty: having the club vote on approving the slate of candidates for officers for the 2024-2025 year. I will present this to the club for a vote this Wednesday, Dec. 27.

We have received our schedule for Mobile Meal deliveries for 2023, and the January sign-up is active on Club Runner.
This schedule keeps our 5/year and avoids the months when Moon Tunes is happening.
