Greetings, Valley View Rotarians! Local author Amanda Zieba is our program this week, looking forward to hearing her speak.
Location: We will be at the La Crosse Rubber Mills building for two more weeks to see how it is as a potential fit for a permanent location in terms of site, technology, catering, etc. There is ample parking across from the entrance and Rotarians to guide you into the location. The address is 1501 St. Andrew Street, La Crosse. Park in the St. Andrew's Street lot and enter the main entrance on St. Andrew's Street.
This week's notes:
-
Nancy Schmidt serves as our Youth Exchange Officer and has been very busy lining up host families and taking care of the details for our incoming exchange student from Thailand. Nancy and Tan will present to our Club for the June 1 program on youth exchange so we will get a full update then. In the meantime, Nancy asked that I share this link to the required background check information for all members interested in volunteering with the student: https://yehub.net/cgi-bin/CEN_get.cgi?pgid=vola
- Reminder to sign up for Moon Tunes volunteer spots prior to May 24! Thanks to Mark Etrheim for taking the lead on organizing weekly Team Captains and volunteer slots for each week. Moon Tunes is our Club's major fundraiser and requires full member participation to pull it off every week. Sign up with friends and family, if you wish. Here are the links or look at the email Mark sent to all Club members.

Let me know any feedback you have related to our Club's "permanent" location. The Board will make a decision in June. We will discuss this further at the meeting this week, too.
See you Wednesday at the La Crosse Rubber Mills or on Zoom!

Donating the number of years at your birthday to the Rotary Foundation for Polio has become a club tradition. Just log in to My Rotary and click on donate. The participation has been truly awesome and given the average age of our club, this is a significant amount of money!
