I love to travel and make new friends. An active Rotarian since 2000, I have held various Rotary positions, currently District Chair for RFE’s, 14th Friendship Exchange, Nigeria, India, Australia, Philippines, India, Australia, Peru, Latvia/Sweden, Argentina, Chile, Hungary, Brazil, New Zealand and now Sweden. Fun Fact: I have visited 49 States (missing Oregon) and 63 countries. (So Far!).
Host Families Needed for Open World Ukraine Delegates
We will have six delegates from Sept 12 - 20. The host will provide lodging, some meals and transportation to starting points in the mornings and home from ending points in the evenings. The program provides many of the meals and activities for the delegates. Interested Rotarians should contact Nancy Schmidt.

Habitat for Humanity Neighbors Day on Saturday April 26th 2025. Every year hundreds of volunteers help La Crosse residents complete outdoor projects they no longer can do themselves such as washing windows and trimming shrubs. Consider coordinating a group! Habitat for Humanity’s Neighbors Day is a family friendly, active, outdoor event that brings people together for a common good. Here is a flyer and link to their webpage with information on volunteer registration as well as where community members can request to be serviced. A light breakfast and lunch will be served to volunteers.
