We're picking up speed as we rush to the end of the year. The next time I sit down to put together this newsletter, it will be Christmas, or more likely, the day after.
I am pleased to see that the Birthdays & Anniversaries widget is working today because I can point out that on Dec. 9, John Hanson and Steve Fleis each celebrated 43 years in the club. I am sure that also marks the beginning of Valley View Rotary, so Happy Birthday to us! Also, a BIG thank you to John and Steve for all their efforts starting the club and their dedication ever since.
Sierra Lyon and John McKenzie will be our speakers at this week's meeting. They'll present on the district-wide project to raise money for domestic water storage systems in Matagalpa, Nicaragua.
Would you like to help create an auction basket for this event? Please let me know--I need to sign us up ASAP if our club is going to participate.
Project Proven Collection
Just a short reminder from Shari that she will be doing her final drop-off of donations to Western Technical College for Project Proven students on Wednesday, 12/20, after the club meeting. If anyone has any men’s or women’s clothing, shoes, or toiletries, please bring them to the meeting this Wednesday. Thanks!
Do you have out-of-country immunization experience?
District 6250 has surpassed all other districts in the Western Hemisphere with the highest number of National Immunization Day volunteers. During Perry Henderson's District Conference in 2023, we dedicated an entire afternoon to Polio Plus, and 12 volunteers spoke. Their presentations were incredibly moving.
QUESTION: Is there anyone with "out of country" Polio immunization experience willing to speak with clubs about their experience?
If you or someone you know is willing, please reach out to our District Membership Chair, Marc, at maugs13@gmail.com. Help us spread the word across the district!
