Rotary Avenues of Service Dinner
This year’s Avenues of Service dinner will be on Aug 16 at the Cargill Room. To our new members: this is when area clubs get together to socialize and recognize our individual and group achievements. Big awards are given, with lots of friendly competition. You must RSVP by Aug 2 with a meal selection. The cost is $50/person with a cash bar.
Golf Outing Fundraiser
We are still seeking auction items for this important fundraiser. Last year this fundraiser generated $9,000 in profits for the Children’s Hospital of Tanzania and the La Crosse Boys and Girls Club.
Bob Newberry will provide an update at our meeting on Wednesday.

Mobile Meals Sign-Up

Becoming President means I have taken on the mantle of Nagger-in-Chief. Even though I did my share of it as a mom, I don’t enjoy it, and I can hit my limit pretty fast. If club members don’t sign up for Mobile Meals, rather than plead and cajole, I will suggest we stop doing it, even though I think that would be a mistake.
Delivering meals to community members in need is good for us: I feel the more significant benefit is ours, not theirs. It’s a small commitment and an excellent way to get to know another club member. It keeps me grounded and grateful.
I look forward to my first meeting as President: I hope to see you there!
