Happy New Week Valley View Rotary family and friends!!!

Thank you to everyone that assisted with the Rotary Lights decorating, parading and sharing of the right amount of holiday spirit needed to turn on the lights for this season!  Where do we sign up for the same weather for our work night on December 22nd?

Please join us at the Onalaska YMCA this Wednesday, November 30th for the Moon Tunes Annual Report.  We do have confirmed guests, including visiting Rotarians past and present as well as Mr. Henri Johanga from Kenya.

Holiday Party

Next week, December 7th is our Holiday Party.  If you haven't done so, please click this link: Evite: Online Invitations, Greeting Cards & Party Ideas and use the link to the google spreadsheet to enter you and your guest's names and meal choices.  We will not have a morning meeting that morning.

5:00pm Social with Cash Bar
6:30pm Dinner with white-elephant gift exchange after, guests welcome to participate!

You may also bring your Foster Child gifts if you volunteered to sponsor!

Annual La Crosse Foster Child Christmas Gift Service Program

Is everyone having as much fun as me with holiday shopping?  If my math is correct, we have 10 foster care cards still available (all 10 of these are requesting gift cards).  If you have requested cards and did not receive them, please let me know.  I am extremely grateful for the generosity of our club members and our friends of Valley View that have requested to participate in this annual service to our community.

Mobile Meals

THANK YOU to all volunteers delivering meals this past week.  This is a valuable resource for our community and Valley View is proud to be a long-standing partner!

Committee Club Assembly

The next Club Assembly will occur in two meetings and have a different feel than in the past.  As a reminder, we will not be meeting in committees on December 14th.  Each committee will have an opportunity to report on their good work thus far and overview what is to come.

Committee leaders, please let me know who will be presenting on the 14th and then preferably, I would love to have a representative on our Board Zoom call on the morning of the 13th.

Please let me know if there is anything your committee needs in preparation of your update.

Author Talk Rob Zaleski.png
Pearl Street Books will be hosting Rob Zaleski and David Couper on Thursday, December 1st at 6:30 - 8:00pm at Pearl Street Books (323 Pearl Street, La Crosse) to discuss Rob's new book. Here's a blurb about it:

In 2020—nearly three decades after David Couper's shocking decision to resign and become an Episcopal priest—the former Marine met with award-winning columnist Rob Zaleski for a series of lively and provocative interviews that lift the veil on his private life and explain for the first time the reasons behind his many controversial decisions. He also talks about his unstable upbringing in the Twin Cities, the personal tragedies he’s endured, and his evolution into one of the most inspiring human rights activists Wisconsin has known.
