Welcome to 2024: a new year and a fresh start. So give yourself a "reset" and recommit to the people, places, and things that you love. Don't forget to include yourself in that. And don't forget to include Rotary and its mission to improve life for all.
I had to look up the Rotary Mission to share with you: We provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
In the 13th century, the Persian poet Rumi expressed it like this:
Be a lamp, or a lifeboat, or a ladder. Help someone's soul heal. Walk out of your house like a shepherd."
Robert Smith will give a brief update from the Community Service Committee during member announcements. He will cover accomplishments, goals, and needs, as well as their mission.
